On Friday 20 - Sunday 22 June 2025, Youth and Students Congress will take place in Cardiff.
If you are a member of the Labour Party under 27 you can buy your ticket here.
Below are some answers to frequently asked questions about the event.
What will the event involve?
This event will be the largest event for young members in nearly a decade. Across the weekend you’ll hear from exciting speakers, learn new skills and meet hundreds of young members from around the country.
How much will it cost me?
Passes are £15 for the weekend or £10 for the day. We’ll announce in due course a fund available to help with travel costs. We always aim to ensure cost is not a barrier to participation so do get in touch to see what support is available.
I’ve never been to an event before - can I come?
It doesn’t matter how much experience you have in the party, we encourage anyone to come to congress and there will be a wide range of sessions throughout the weekend so there’s something for everyone!
Will the venue be fully accessible?
The venue is accessible and suitable for those with mobility issues. Please indicate any accessibility requirements you have on your pass application.
Will it be bureaucratic?
We want congress to be a fun and exciting event, that everyone can get the most out of. You don’t need to know the ins and outs of procedures or constitutions to attend and there won’t be elections or voting held at congress.
Can I attend if I’m under 18?
Members Under 18 can attend congress during the day with written permission from a parent or guardian. If written permission is not received by the party prior to the event, you will not be admitted to the congress.
It is important to remember that you are responsible for your own behaviour at congress and you are expected to behave in a responsible and safe manner at all times.
Please ensure that your parent or guardian is aware that Labour Party staff members will be on hand to help attendees during Congress hours (around 10am to 6pm) but will not be supervising you whilst you are at congress.
Members under 18 are unable to book accommodation through the party or via other Labour Party members. We expect all under 18s to return home at the end of the congress day. All travel to and from the event is to be organised by the young person in consultation with their parent or guardian.
